Addressing the press conference on Wednesday, the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition under Kalonzo Musyoka has said that the caucusing continues.

 

This follows the announcement of the William Ruto the President-elect. William Ruto was given the Presidential certificate on Tuesday.

 

The coalition rejected the presidential results claiming that the servers of the independent commission had been hacked. 

Earlier, the four IEBC commissioner rejected the presidential results saying the  results had 0.01% error. The four were led by Cherera, the commission vice chair.

The Azimio presidential flag bearer Raila Odinga was defeated in the presidential race. He got 48% of the total votes cast while William Ruto garnered 50.49%.

 

According to the Kenyan Constitution, the candidate with 50+1% of the total votes cast is declared the President.

 

The Azimio leader Raila Odinga today insisted that the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) declaration on Tuesday was wrong.

 

Martha Karua, the Azimio presidential running mate claimed that victory is coming home and the coalition will use all legal channels to ascertain the success.

 

“Our is victory differed but victory is coming home to everyone as we explore all legal and constitutional avenues. Thank you for supporting us and we will not let you down,” said Martha.

 

Martha Karua also added that although the Kenya Kwanza exceeded the in the senate with one seat, the Azimio have the majority in parliament.

 

“Our figures show that we command the National Assembly, in the Senate, our competitors are up by one but in the National Assembly we command,” she added.

 

Kalonzo Musyoka, the Wiper party leader said that discussion will continue until victory is arrived.
