Mathira MP, Rigathi Gachagua could not be identified by the Kiems kit besides arriving at the polling station earlier. The IEBC clerks had to turn to alpha-numerical search which worked.

 

In alpha-numerical, the voter’s identity card or passport is scanned and when the findings pop up, they are directed to put their finger on the kit for recording of their biometric data.

 

Gachagua was accompanied by his wife Dorcas Rigathi. 

The Kenya Kwanza Presidential running mate was excited by the number of voter turn out and encouraged residents to maintain peace.
