It was a 17-hour marathon of consultations before Rigati Gachagua, Mathira MP, was settled on as the running mate for Dr. William Samoi Ruto on a UDA ticket.
Rigathi Gachagua brings his financial muscles, political mobilization and ability to articulate issues to the Ruto presidential ticket.
However, on the hindsight, he is also accused of corruption charges which may have a negative impact on the ticket.
