Sharing is Caring

Doctors (medical) have warned women against “vabbing” as it can be “dangerous” to their sexual health.

Vabbing has emerged online as ladies are allegedly using vaginal discharge as perfume to attract men sexually.

This practice sees women take their vaginal fluids and rub it on their pulse joints such as behind their neck and ears to serve the purpose of a pheromone.

TikTok user, Mandy Lee, popularized the practice after she revealed about its charm on TikTok.

Social media influencer Jewlieah using vabbing at a gyn where she secured a hot date.

Following these episodes from the two influencers, more and more women have using vabbing and sharing updates in terms of their experiences.

Medical experts are now discouraging ladies from this new practice.

For instance, Dr Paraskevi Dimitriadi, a gynaecologist, at the center for surgery in London has indicated that there is no evidence that pheromones real work in the same way as they do for animals.

The doctor has warned that vabbing can cause dangerous infections on people.

“If you use dirty fingers inside your vagina to collect discharge you can not only potentially traumatise the tissue in your vagina and but also spread infection, potentially causing something as serious as a pelvic inflammatory disease,” a medical expert warned.

Pelvic inflammatory disease increases the chances of having abscesses in the fallopian tubes as well as developing an ectopic pregnancy. This can lead to infertility.

“Dirty fingers could also cause bacterial vaginosis or thrush,” Dr Dimitriadi added.

“If you have bacterial vaginosis or thrush your discharge can be malodorous and will not help you attract a partner.”
