A couple has filed a case against their neighbor for making their lives “hellish” with constant noise produced by his cock.
Friedrich-Wilhelm, 76, and his wife Jutta, told the court that they always hear the irritating cock squawking up to 200 times a day.
Friedrich-Wilhelm, spoke with local media on this issue.
‘He doesn’t start until 8 am because he is locked up at night but then he crows 100 to 200 times throughout the day.
‘We can’t use the garden and we can’t open any windows, it’s unbearable.
‘We really did a lot of tests. Our kids tried, our neighbours tried.
‘The neighbour doesn’t give up his rooster and we have to either live with that, or we have to win in court.’
‘It’s hard to talk about torture, but that’s what it’s like,’ Jutta added.
The couple revealed that they started recording a daily log of the noise produced by the cock to use it as evidence in court and get the cock removed.
Friedrich-Wilhelm claimed that another neighbor relocated from the place due to the noise but he will not allow to be forced to do the same.
Wilhelm further stated that the cock crows at an intensity of 80 decibels, which is the same level as a busy restaurant or street with heavy traffic.
He also said that this is just slightly below the noise intensity produced by a welder – up to 95 decibels.
