A Kisumu man sets mother on fire killing her. The 27-year-old man is reported to have allegedly killed his mother before setting her on fire using kerosene. The man is now in custody for allegedly killing Ms. Roselyn Nyawanda, his mother.
Ms. Nyawanda was a deputy principal at Miringo Girls Secondary School. According to reports from Nyando police, the woman lives at the school compound where the tragic incident occurred.
Ms. Nyawanda’s body was found in her bathroom burnt beyond recognition. Police said she must have been stabbed to death before she was set on fire because a kitchen knife was found besides her body.
An empty lantern lamp was also recovered indicating that the cold blood killer used kerosene to do the unthinkable.
It was Man in custody’s brother who came to his mother’s residence in school to pay her a visit on Saturday when he found her unresponsive.
Nyando police officers claimed the alleged killer’s mind is unstable and had unleashed a lot of chaos in the family. He is also alleged to be a drug addict.
