Sharing is Caring

On Monday, a campaign convoy of Susan Kihika arrived in Kongasis Trading Center hunting for votes for William Ruto (President) and Susan Kihika (Governor).

One of the MCA candidates from Mbaruk Eburu ward advised the electorates that no youth should be elected in his ward. He cited the current youthful MCA as a reason why they do not deserve to be elected into MCA position.

He added that youth only need to be employed at the county offices. I believe this is not the position of UDA party which defenders the interests of hustlers including the youth.

We condemn this utterances of the MCA aspirant because under the Constitution of Kenya 2010 all Kenyans age 18 + are qualified to run for public office. The issue of age should not be used to marginalize the youth.

The elderly MCA aspirant should remember that his old age can equally be used by youthful aspirants to marginalize him. Therefore, he should desist from this narrative.

In conclusion, let us do to others what we had like to be done to us.
