Sharing is Caring

Chelsea owner-in-waiting, Todd Boehly, has spoken out for the first time after winning the ‘race to buy the club”

Todd Boehly will be the new boss at Chelsea. He has succeed in purchasing the Stanford Bridge Club at £3.5 billion according to Daily Mail of UK. He was seen inspecting Cobham base where Chelsea does their training.

Boehly,  owns part of the Los Angeles Dodgers. He was an invited speaker at the Milken Institute’s Global Conference in Los Angeles.

This is the first time he appeared after he was announced as the club’s preferred bidder last week.

‘And if you have people who care about things, you have great opportunity. And really, it’s about curating that experience, that access, that opportunity,”  Boehly said.

Boehly is part of a consortium that has been declaired by Raine Group as the preferred bidder. It is made up of Dodgers co-owner Mark Walter as well as Hansjorg Wyss, Swiss billionaire.

The Boehly’s consortium defeated other bids from the consortia of Sir Martin Broughton, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and Stephen Pagliuca.

Chelsea is on the 3rd position on the Prime League table. They are equally on the FA Cup Final.

Chelsea was put on Sale on March 2022 when the current owner, Roman Abramovich, made up his mind to sell the club before he was sanctioned by the British government because of ties to Vladimir Putin – president of Russia.

It is shocking to learn that Roman Abramovich won’t receive any money from the sale.

Bohly’s net worth is estimated to be at £4.7 billion.
