Sheffield United beat Arsenal FC 1-0 in a Premier League match that was played yesterday at the Bramall Lane Stadium. The match attracted over 30,000 fans.

Lys Mousset scored Sheffield United’s only goal in the 30th minute.

Referee Mike Dean Yellow carded eight players namely; John Fleck, Bukayo Saka, Jack O’Connell, David McGoldrick, Sead Kolasinac, Dean Henderson, Sokratis and Calum Chambers.

Arsenal averaged 68% ball possession compared to Sheffield United’s 32.

The Gunners also managed 7 shots compared to The Blade’s 6. Arsenal had 3 shots on target while Sheffield had 2.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery claimed after the match that Arsenal did not deserve to loose.

‘’We did not deserve to lose and we conceded a lot of corners in the first half and they scored in one action. Above all, we have to improve by not allowing balls like that.’’

Arsenal are now winless in four away games since the opening weekend.

The result leaves Arsenal at position 5 with 15 points. Sheffield United have now moved to 9th position in the Premier League table with 12 points.

Sheffield United will play West Ham in their next Premier League on Saturday 26th October at the London Stadium.

Arsenal will play Crystal Palace in their next Premier League fixture on Sunday 27th October 2019 at the Emirates. They will however play a Europa tie on 24th October against Vitoria SC.
