Russian government believe that they may have killed the Islamic State terrorist leader, Abu-Bakr al-Baghdad after an air strike in Syria on 28 May.

The air strike was conducted by Russia during IS military council in IS headquarters, Raqqa, northern Syria.

The Abu-Bakr al-Baghdad had been reported killed in previous air attacks by the United States forces. Nevertheless, this is the first time, Russia is making the claims.

According to Sputnik, during the attack 300 IS soldiers and their 30 commanders were attending a meeting in the group headquarters.

The United States issued a bounty of USD $25 million for anyone who gives information which will lead to his death or capture.

IS has in the past unleashed lots of terror on western cities. A good example was the attacks in Paris in November, 2015.
