Following advocacy by college students, Purdue University has plans to offer free tampons, sanitary pads and other female hygiene products at its campus.

The University Senate made a decision that the sanitary items are a necessity and hence will be provided at no cost at the Campus rest rooms.

Purdue University will be responsible for supplying the period hygiene products to over 650 female and gender neutral toilets around campus.
