Pope Francis who was recently seen on a wheelchair due to a knee surgery has postpones his trip to Lebanon.

This announcement was made by Walid Nasser, Lebanon’s Tourism Minister.

‘Lebanon received a letter from the Vatican officially informing it of the decision to postpone the scheduled visit of the Pope to Lebanon,’ Nassar said.

He added the Pope’s ‘foreign visits and scheduled appointments have been postponed for health reasons’.

Pope Francis, 85, has been suffering for months with pain in his right knee that made him to cancel numerous events and stopped him from presiding over religious events.

The Vatican has not stated what the problem is, although sources have revealed that he has chronic arthritis.
