Kenya Police to receive House Allowance from Dec 2018

The Kenya Police Service employees will start receiving house allowance and living with the rest of Kenyan people in the estates from 2019.

This also means that those landlords who have leased their housing units for the Kenya police will have their leases cancelled to pave way for the new policy.

Many Kenyan politicians are going to lose on this lucrative deal on Kenya police housing where they have been harvesting millions of Kenyan shillings.

Those who live within government institutions will start paying rent. The constables in Nairobi County will be paid Ksh. 18,124 as house allowance while their counterparts from Kisumu, Meru, Nakuru, Uasin Gishu and Mombasa will receive Ksh. 8,124 in house allowances.

Previously, only those with the rank of Inspector and above earned house allowances. This will soon change and many police officers have welcomed the move saying that its like being promoted and they do not like the conditions under which they live inside the police stations.

A number of police officers reported to the Daily Nation that when they are assigned duties, their bosses go to their houses to seduce their wives or girlfriends. This, according to them is going to be history.
