Nigeria’s aviation authority has announced plans to reopen 5 airports in the country for domestic flights, the BBC reports.
The airports will be reopened on June 21.
The 5 airports are located in Abuja, Lagos, Southern city of Port Harcout, South-Eastern Imo state and the Northern Kano state.
The head of aviation authority Musa Nuhu said the other airports will be opened gradually after review and assessment.
However, the ban on international flights will continue.
Flights that are allowed to operate are those repatriating Nigerians from abroad. However strict protocols have to be adhered to.
