Sharing is Caring

I haven’t been the most consistent person when it comes to jogging in the morning but today I woke up and walked half of 10 kilometres and jogged the rest of the way.

I’m planning to do this every single day without fail like clockwork.

After running all the way, I cannot run back home. That is why I’m waiting at the Matatu stage to get the public means of transport back home to start my working day.

Many people are busy here at the stage. Some are busy preparing their goods for sale or busy waiting for a public taxi to take them to work.

I noted that no one else is jogging or doing any form of exercise this morning. That makes me feel to be the luckiest person on the road.

Finally, I’ve got a matatu which will drop me near home.

Inside the matatu, it seems someone was transporting  a consignment of maize and evidence still remains. Some maize seeds are lying on the floor. It is normal when transporting cereals and other loose items such as sand.

Outside there is mist but it is slowly disappearing and time moves. Mist just like darkness paves way to light.

Vehicles are a risk when you are jogging as a pedestrian. But due to lack of public spaces such as stadium or playgrounds, we remain with limited options.

When I was new in this area I would not tell when I was near my alighting stage.

Now I know my major landmarks and can alight  with high levels of accuracy.

Consistency is key in order to succeed in any trade. For the impact of the morning jog to be felt, it has to be done every single day. That is what I’m going to do.

I read some disturbing study findings that on average people who work from home end up working overtime for an excess of 6 hours every day.

I work from home and can attest that it is true. It is not that we like it that way. The extra hours that I work, will be converted into exercise hours going forward. That is our I can stay fit going forward.

Keep checking this page every single day. Here is more content on the way!
