Masayoshi Son is a Japanese billionaire who founded Softbank Group in 1981. He has a net worth of $23.3 billion.

 

In 1980, Masayoshi Son graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 1980. After graduating from University Son established a PC Software distributor known as Unison World in Oakland. He is also the founder of Softbank Corp and Softbank Vision Fund.

 

 

In 1995, son bought Yahoo! Shares. In 1999, he acquired a stake in Alibaba for $20 million. In July 2016, Softbank announced their acquisition of Arm Holdings for a whooping $31.4 billion.

 

Son established Softbank Vision Fund which invests on start up working on artificial intelligence and robotics.
