Mario Balotelli joins Brescia

Italian Forward Mario Balotelli has joined his hometown club Brescia. Brescia earned its promotion to the Serie A last season for the first time since 2011.

Mario Balotelli played for the French Club Olympique Marseille last season and was released at the end of the season. He now returns to play in Serie A for the third time after playing previously for Inter Milan and AC Milan. He won three Serie A titles with Inter Milan.

The 29 year old joins Brescia on a three year deal. He is expected to lead the attack at Stadio Mario Rigamonti.

Serie A is set to begin this weekend with Brescia visiting Cagliari on Sunday 25th. However, Mario Balotelli will have to wait to make his Brescia debut as he was banned four matches after being shown a red card by referee Antony Gautier in his final game for French Club Marseille against Montpellier on 24th May 2019.
