James Maddison and Ben Chilwell are doubts for Leicester City when they travel to play Arsenal on Tuesday, manager Brendan Rodgers said.

Leicester City beat Arsenal 2-0 in the reverse fixture in November, with Chilwell playing the full game and Maddison getting on the score sheet.

However, the two players are unlikely to feature on Tuesday due to injuries.

Maddison suffered a hip injury ahead of last week’s game against Everton and missed Saturday’s 3-0 win over Crystal Palace, a game which Chilwell had to be substituted at half-time.

The injuries are a big blow to the foxes, who are embroiled in a competitive battle to finish among the top four.

‘’We’ve got doubts over James Maddison and Ben Chilwell,’’ Said Rodgers.

‘’They are the two that could struggle but we’ll see how they are [on Monday]. We just have to wait and see. There are big doubts over both.

‘’Ben’s is his plantar fascia, the bottom of his foot, which is giving him pain. We’ll just have to assess that and see what the specialists say on it.

‘’You can play through it but of course there are times you get a real bad pain in it, so it’s just trying to manage that.

‘’They will both be big doubts ahead of the game but we’ll give them every chance.’’
