Link between Stock, Sex and the Economy
According to Hungerman et al of the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER), there is a strong relationship between sex and the economy. The team of researcher revealed that baby-making activities in our bedroom can be used to predict the approach of a recession. Hence, the direct link between Sex and the Economy. Many people stop making babies several months in advance of a looming recession.
This is a sign that “people are pretty good at predicting recessions” according to Hungerman, one of the researchers.
Recession is an economics term that is used to refer to the cycle in the economy which is characterized by fall in Gross Domestic Product (GDP); declining business profits and fall in household incomes as well as Inflation. At the same time, recession comes with a rise in number of bankruptcies and unemployment rate.
The researchers obtained their data from birth certificates in the United States of America and used its analysis to come up with their findings.
Despite pointing out this important relationship Hungerman laments that “Tracking conceptions in real time is pretty tough.”
