United States international Timothy Weah tore his hamstring again on Sundayas he made his return from a six month lay-off injury.

The 19-year old suffered the same injury back in August, few weeks after signing a 5-year deal at the Ligue 1 club.

The former PSG forward – who is the son of former Ballon d’Or winner George Weah – played his third match for Lille this season after coming on as a substitute against Marseille in the French Ligue 1 on the 80th minute on Sunday.

Weah confirmed that he had suffered an injury setback on Monday on his Instagram.

Lille later confirmed that Weah was injured on Twitter though the time for his return to action is not known.

‘’Our forward will now begin the process of rehabilitation. The entire team at LOSC wish Tim a speedy recovery.’’ Read the post.

Weah wrote on Instagram: ‘’Felt amazing to be on the field again with my team-mates after six months, and thank you to our beautiful supporters who came out and cheered us on. But unfortunately for me, things did not go as planned and I’ve injured myself again. Better days will come and I know that God is watching over me. Small setback for a major setback’’
