Leicester City’s attacking midfielder James Maddison has withdrawn from the England squad due to illness.

The creative attacking midfielder has enjoyed a good season with his club and was expected to make his England debut in the upcoming fixtures against Czech Republic and Bulgaria. The two fixtures are Euro 2020 qualifiers.  He’ll have to wait to make his England’s senior team.3 first cap.

The 22 year Old’s form has been great leading to him attracting interest from Manchester United.

James Maddison becomes the third England player to withdraw from the England squad. This is after Tom Heaton and Fabian Delph picked up injuries.
