Inter’s clash with Sampdoria has been postponed following the recent outbreak of Coronavirus in Italy.

The Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte confirmed that Sunday’s fixtures at Veneto and Lombardy regions would not go on meaning Atalanta-Sassuolo and Hellas Verona-Cagliari matches will be played at a later date.

The move is a preventative measure against the spread of the deadly Coronavirus after two people died and others tested positive.

According to Italian news agency ANSA, Saturday’s serie B game between Ascoli and Cremonese was earlier postponed. Up to 88 amateur games were also called off.
