Sharing is Caring

Liverpool’s £85 million summer signing Darwin Nunez went nuts to headbutting Crystal Palace’s center half Joachim Andersen. Leaving Liverpool ten man and goal down, he left the team crawling.

As the two were fighting for the ball, Nunez flicked his head towards his opponent, hurting him. The incident happened on the watch of the referee. Nunez was given a direct red card that sent him off the pitch.

Luis Diaz had to rescue the losing Reds after beating five players and peacefully placing the ball at the far post.

Liverpool now four points behind the unstoppable Manchester city, have to do something different to make the team back and running.

Liverpool has now drawn two games but according to their coach Klopp, there is nothing to worry about and everything is in position.

Liverpool also let the exit of forward sadio Mane who was signed by Bayern Munch to create room for Nunez.

Klopp said: “I cannot deny it is a red card. That’s not how you  should behave.

“He’s provoked all the time but it’s absolutely not the reaction you want to see.

“The centre-halves will do that to him. He’s a handful himself but that’s not the reaction.

“He knows he has let his team-mates down.”

Liverpool are set to play against Manchester United on Monday next week. Manchester is also unstable after losing two games and at the bottom of the table since 1992.

Darwin Nunez made his first debut for Liverpool as first eleven but did not deliver as expected. He is now banned for the next three games for the violent conduct.

With Diogo Jota and Roberto Firmino nursing injuries, Diaz will be there main striker together with Mohammed Salah.

Klopp also condemned the conduct of Nunez but still congratulated the performance of players after the red card. He said: “I don’t know how long he will be suspended. We will use it for physical work, not as a punishment but to make him stronger.

“It’s of course a red card. Four minutes later, we scored an equaliser and then it was a massive game from us, with ten men  putting in such an effort.

“The real feeling I have is I am proud. Everything in the week went against us, it was crazy. It was like a witch was in the building.

“Putting in such a performance in the circumstances, I am really proud of that.”
