Citizen Television is back on air

It is exactly the 10th day after Citizen Television and four other Television stations were switched off by the Communications Authority of Kenya (CAK) for airing the NASA swearing in on 30th of January from Uhuru Park Nairobi against the government orders.

The government through the interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang’i issued a statement on 31st January on the closure of Citizen Television among other stations stating that they would remain shut until investigations are over.

Dr. Matiang’i during the press conference on 31st Jan 2018KTN news and NTV were earlier switched on leaving the Royal Media Services; Citizen TV and Inooro, TV still shut.

Not until today when Citizen TV and its Kikuyu sister station resumed back on air.
