China’s military spokesman said that the actions of entering South China Sea is a violation of relevant international law.

China reported to have organized air and sea forces to monitor, identify and track U.S. ships as they travel around the world and this week they expelled one of them which entered territorial waters illegally.

According to NBC News, the South China Sea is rich with energy sources and it is made up of over 200 islands. It is also a gateway to global trade routes.

Singapore and Philippines are fighting with China for some of the specs of land in the South China Sea. A number of these islands get sub-merged during high tides. China owns the largest number of islands in South China Sea.

Recently China sank a Vietnamese fishing vessel in the South China Sea. China accused the vessel of entering the area illegally and refused to leave.

America has accused China of taking advantage of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic to nurse her territorial boundaries in the South China Sea.
