It looks like the military has hijacked the civilian revolution against president Blaise Compaore’s attempt to run for another term in office after 27 years in power. This may be attributed to a weak opposition that has been suppressed by Blaise Compaore’s government.
African Union was not happy with the turn of events in Burkina Faso. They ordered the Burkina Faso to return the power to the civilian government within two weeks.

This is what happened when people were fed up with one Mr. Blaise Compaore of Burkina Faso.

It all started as a peaceful demonstration then it turned violent. Solders tried until their eyes turned red as you can see below.

The protesters matched the streets of Burkina Faso and demonstrated against some unwise vote in parliament. Then they decided to turn Burkina Faso parliament into a kiln as shown below.

Mr. Blaise Compaore resigned and ran to exile in Yamoussoukro, the capital city of Ivory Coast.

Blaise Compaore took over power in 1987 after the Upright Man, Thomas Sankara was assassinated. Many people believe that Blaise Compaore order the killing of Thomas Sankara. Since that time he has been able to win all elections. In 2000, the Burkina Faso constitution was changed and presidents were allowed only two terms in office. He was seeking the help of parliament to seek-reelection again in 2015.
