Why did the company part with the whooping sum for a domain? Simple. The company will now offer rights to firms which want to use the suffix .web.

This sale is astronomical compared to the previous auction of .shop domain. It was sold for $41.5 million equivalent to a whooping Ksh. 13.69 Billion in Kenya. This is a clear picture of how far domain flipping can go. It is a lucrative business out there!
