Borussia Dortmund captain Marco Reus will be out of action for four weeks after suffering a muscle injury during Dortmund’s DFB-Pokal 3-2 loss to Werder Bremen on Tuesday.

Reus was injured during the closing stages of the game and had to be substituted and replaced by new signing Emre Can.
Dortmund took to social media on Wednesday to confirm that their captain will not return to training till next month. It is a big blow to Lucien Favre’s side as Reus is ruled out of the UEFA Champions League clash with French Club Paris st Germain on February 18.

‘’Captain Marco Reus contracted a muscle injury in the DFB-Pokal,’’the tweet read.

‘’According to the current status, he will be able to start training in around four weeks.’’

He is expected to miss four Bundesliga matches and could be back in action for the trip to Paris on 11th March.
