Borussia Dortmund have completed the signing of midfielder Emre Can from Juventus on loan until the end of the current campaign with a view of making the move permanent.

Can joined Juventus in 2018 after his contract with Liverpool expired and has been short of match action this season under manager Maurizio Sarri.

The 26-year-old Germany international has just made 8 appearances in the Serie A this season and was left out of Juventus UEFA Champions League Squad.

Dortmund will have to pay Juventus €25M to sign him on a permanent deal.

‘’In Can we get a German player who can be used across multiple systems in defence as well as in central midfield. A player who brings his technique and has a strong will to win. ‘’ Said Dortmubd’s Sporting Director Michael Zorc.

Can Said:’’I think the team has got some great potential and we can win something. I am convinced that I can help them and can’t wait to play in front of these fans for whom Borussia Dortmund is known all over the world for the first time.’’

Can becomes Dortmunds second major signing after striker Erling Haaland joined the club from RB Salzburg.
