The Star Newspaper reported that SEVEN people were burnt to ashes in Napeiton village, Kapedo in Turkana East.

The victims are alleged to have been burnt to ashes by Pokot bandits. They raided the village on 31 July and among the seven are five children.

The suspected bandits escaped via Suguta Valley.

The Turkana County Representative candidate Hon. Cecilia Asinyen Ng’itit condemned the sad incident and called upon the security agencies to quicken the investigations and apprehend the bandits to face the full force of the law.

The Third Way Alliance of Kenya political party weighed in on the issue by calling upon the Cabinet Secretary and PS Interior to “go after the Pokot bandits who torched the Kenyans to death.”
