Working at the Buckingham Palace, for Queen Elizabeth is not Prestigious

Many people in UK imagine that working for Queen Elizabeth at Buckingham Palace is prestigious. That is not the case.

In December 2017, the Palace posted a job of chef. The position holder is expected to take home $28,000 per annum and even less if the chef decides to live on site.

The chef‘s work is to prepare meals for guests during occasions such as state dinners, receptions and lunches at Buckingham Palace as well as in several other royal residences.

The Queen wants a candidate who is a good communicator and has a great passion for food as well as have eagerness to learn new skills.

Working at the Buckingham Palace can be understood considering that the queen is very specific about the food she eats. She does not consume garlic and limited red meat.
