Premier League side Watford FC have offered their Vicarage Road Stadium to National Health Service to help in the fight against COVID – 19.

The Stadium is just next to Watford General Hospital and the club through chairman Scott Duxbury says they will do ‘whatever it takes’ to support NHS.

‘’We need to forget football right now and concentrate on doing all we can to support NHS and, in particular, Watford General Hospital.’’Said club Chairman Mr  Duxbury.

‘’Our proximity as a football club next door puts us in a great position to offer help and we are keen to do whatever we possibly can to support NHS staff and their families.’’

 Watford FC sit 17th in the Premier League table after 29 games.

The Premier League was suspended by the FA until at least April 30th due to the Coronavirus crisis.
