Sharing is Caring

Nigel Pearson has been appointed new Watford FC manager. He has signed a contract that runs until the end of the current campaign.

Nigel Pearson replaces Quique Sanchez Flores who was sacked less than three months into his second spell at the Vicarage Road after his appointment due to poor results.

The 56 year old becomes the third manager of Watford this season after Javi Gracia and Sanchez Flores.

The Hornets are currently at the bottom of the English Premier League table with 8 points from 15 games. Nigel Pearson is expected to lead Watford to survive in the Premier League.

Watford chairman said:’’Nigel is an impressive coach and comes with all of the experience and success we believe can have very positive impact on our season. It’s been pleasure spending time listening to the passion with which he talks about the game. His enthusiasm, organization and motivation will I’m certain prove essential in driving the team forwards and upwards over the coming weeks and months.’’

Pearson will be presented to the club’s supporters on Saturday when the team will face Crystal Palace at the Vicarage Road though the team will be managed by caretaker boss Hayden Mullins.

Pearson previously managed England Under-21, Leicester City, Southampton, Derby County, Hull City and OH Leuven.
