The University of Nairobi has recently reviewed its fee structure for postgraduate as well as self-sponsored students increasing the fee by 100 per cent. Those students planning to pursue a masters in Business Administration (MBA) course will have to pay Ksh. 602,000 from the current Ksh. 280,000.

 

Masters of Arts in communication course will now cost Ksh. 655,000 which is an increase from Ksh. 273,000. The five-year course of Medicine and Surgery will now cost Ksh. 3.8 million from Ksh. 2.35 million.

 

Law which would cost Ksh. 715,500 will now cost Ksh. 1.02 million. This review in fees paid by students is part of the efforts made by the university in order to increase the amount of revenues raised following the dissolution  of parallel degree programmes who were the major source of revenue for universities across Kenya.
