Silverstone Air’s Fokker 50- 5Y-1ZO crash-landed immediately after take-off from Nairobi’s Wilson Airport.
At 11:11 am, the airline confirmed the incidence as follows:
We can confirm that our Fokker 50, 5Y-1ZO has had an incident while taking off at Wilson Airport at 9:00 am this morning. The aircraft was operating the Wilson-Mombasa-Lamu-Mombasa-Wilson route. The passengers and crew have all been disembarked and we are currently working with relevant authorities to assess the situation.
We thank the Emergency services at Wilson Airport for their quick response and cooperation.
