The Italian Serie A aims to resume its season on 13th June if the Italian government approves.

Football activities were suspended in Italy on March 9th due to the global coronavirus pandemic. 12 rounds of games are yet to be played.

Juventus sit on top of the Serie A table, one point ahead of second-placed Lazio.

Serie A’s general assembly met on Wednesday through videoconference and approved June 13 for resumption ‘’in accordance with government decisions and medical protocols’’.

Serie A clubs returned to training early in May but players can only train individually. As from next week teams will be able to train collectively.

Last week, 3 Fiorentina players tested positive for Covid-19, while a Torino player also tested positive. All the affected players were isolated.

The German Bundesliga is set to resume on 16th May while Portugal’s Primera Liga is scheduled for 4th June.
