Hon. Benson Kegoro Ogero was buried today in Nyamira County. He was the former Member of Parliament for West Mugirango.
The funeral was attended by dignitaries including Uganda Opposition leader Dr. Kizza Besigye, Kenya Opposion leader Raila Odinga and Marta Karua among others.
Benson Kegoro won the parliamentary by-elections in 1970 following the death of George Morara. He lost the seat in 1974 and regained it later in 1979.
George Kegoro died at the age of 90. During his life he served as a tea director, MP and Councillor (Bosamaro Ward).
