Resource Allocation in Kenya to State Department for Petroleum

Resource Allocation in Kenya, according to Kenya’s Budget Policy Statement 2018, the state department responsible for exploration and drilling for petroleum may be allocated ksh. 3.1 billion in fiscal year 2018/2019.

The resources will be used for administration and value addition on crude oil.

The government will also engage in exploration for coal and iron deposits. This is in an effort towards making the sector contribute at least 10 percent of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
