RB Leipzig have signed striker Alexander Sorloth from Crystal Palace in a £20.5M deal.

The Norway international has signed a five-year deal at Red Bull Arena.

Leipzig agreed to pay Trabzonspor €10M to terminate Sorloth’s loan from Crystal Palace, which was due to run until the end of 2020-21 campaign.

Sorloth, 24, told RB Leipzig’s website: “After the initial talks, it quickly became clear to me that I wanted to play for RB Leipzig.

”The club were impressive in the league last season, and even more so in the Champions League.

”The attacking brand of football that Julian Nagelsmann plays suits me well. I’m looking forward to challenge together in the Bundesliga as well as the Champions League.”

Sorloth scored 33 goals and assisted a further 11 in 49 competitive appearances for Trabzonspor.

He has made 24 appearances for Norway since making his debut in 2016.

Sorloth will wear the number 19 shirt at Leipzig.
