Sharing is Caring

Farmers in Kiambogo/kongasis in Gilgil Sub-County of Nakuru County are yearning for rain.

They told kerosi.com that “If it does not rain within the next two weeks, it will be a disaster.”

They will lose their crops especially maize which is already in dire need of rainfall.

A section of the farmers have incurred loses because they had a poor beans harvest.

It’s time for harvesting beans and farmers are worried with the increased theft of beans from the farms. This is triggered by the fact that price of beans has shot to the skies.

A local resident observed that hunger will kill people considering that the small scale farmers always sell their most of their produce to pay school fees and other needs.

More updates to follow. We end it here for now.
