Sharing is Caring

The education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha yesterday announced that Kenyan schools should close by 2nd August. This came as a surprise as teacher, parents and students were set for the 6th August, which was the date communicated earlier.

Parents were the ones who were affected most by the sudden changes. For those parents whose parents were admitted into distant schools, they had to put in place the transport costs of their children.

Most of the parents are now crying because some of them cannot afford to search for the fare in a period of less than 48 hours. Adding to the current economy, it only makes it worse.

On the other hand, there were some schools that were already in the middle of examinations. This means they had to put sudden stop and wait for the opening date to resume.

For students, it won’t affect them much because they only depend on parents. In addition, they needed a break.
