The Roman Catholic leader, Pope Francis, has denounced those who criminalise sexuality. He said that those with “homosexual tendencies” should be welcomed by their churches.
Pope Francis was accompanied by Justin Welby as well as Iain Greenshields – the moderator of the General Assembly of Scotland. They traveled to South Sudan where they called for peace.
Archbishop Welby and Dr. Greenshields praised the comments made by the Pope during a press conference while on board the papal plane on their way to Rome.
