Sharing is Caring

Police have come under heavy criticism for allegedly using excessive force against JKUAT students who were protesting on Monday.

This comes after the video clips went viral online in which the police were brutalizing students even after the protests had ended and the university closed.

In one of the videos, three police officers were seen kicking an unarmed student who was lying on the ground.

In another video, police officers are seen forcefully breaking into an apartment occupied by JKUAT students and are said to have fired tear gas canisters to try and smoke the students out.

The video have drawn a lot of criticism with Kenyans on social media urging the National Police Service (NPS) and the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) to begin investigations.
