Nyambari (Uplands) is located in Lari Constituency along the Nairobi-Nakuru Highway. The current member of parliament for this area is Hon. Kahangara Joseph Mburu who was elected on the UDA ticket.
From Nyambari, you can access Githunguri (the land of milk) in Kiambu County. The reading centre has one petrol station (Rubis) located along the road leading to Upland Police Station.
Nyambari Trading Centre has a small market open 7 days of the week. It is located along the highway near the bus stop. Here you can purchase roasted maize, carrots, irish potatoes, tomatoes and fruits among other items.
Across the road is a Chinese depot and warehouse for storage of road construction materials and machinery.
Nyambari is known for its active trade for sukuma week (kales). For this one you can see trucks being loaded with the valuable commodity every day of the week for delivery to Nairobi and urban areas.
Nyambari trading centre lacks a serious hotel for provision of serious hospitality services such as accommodation and culinary treats. This one is not one of their specialties.
In terms of trade in timber products, Nyambari is the place to be. There is a booming timber product business. Uplands Timber Dealers is popular locally as the place where you go for timber and other related products such as doors, boards, plywood and block wood.
