The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has appointed George Njao as the new Director General. He has been appointed on a three year term.

Acting NTSA Board chairperson Alice Chesire released a statement on Tuesday that announced George Njao as the new DG who is taking over from Francis Meja who completed his term.

“Mr. Njao has over 15 years experience in the transport sector specifically in safety management which presents a great opportunity for the Authority. He holds a Master’s degree and a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Missouri State University, USA,” said Dr. Alice Chesire.

Dr. Alice Chesire also praised the outgoing Director General Francis Meja for employing technology in service delivery and consolidating NTSA services in one online platform known as Transport Integrated Management System (TIMS).

Other new appointments to the NTSA management include:
Christopher Wanjau (Director Registration and Licensing)

Salakha Shem (Deputy Director Supply chain management)        

Badu Katelo (Director Road Safety)
