Sharing is Caring

The influential sister of Kim Jong-un has warned the US not to ‘cause a stink’ as President Biden works out his Korean policy.

She spoke on state media criticizing the US-South Korea joint military exercises. The U.S stated that they have been making efforts for weeks to start diplomatic talks with North Korea.

North Korea has not yet acknowledged that President Biden is the one in office. US and North Korea are in disagreement over the ballistic missiles and nuclear weapon programmes.

“A word of advice to the new administration of the United States that is struggling to spread the smell of gunpowder on our land from across the ocean.

“If it wants to sleep in peace for [the] coming four years, it had better refrain from causing a stink at its first step,” She said in statement to the media.

She expressed North Korea’s opposition to the US-South Korea military exercises which North Korea describes as preparations for invasion.

“The South Korean government yet again chose the ‘March of War’, the ‘March of Crisis’,” Kim Yo-jong added.

Kim Yo-jong is the younger sister of Kim Jong-un and she is considered to be a powerful and close ally of the president.

For a while, Kim Yo-jong has been her brother’s favoured attack dog and this statement is a continuation of those attacks. U.S. Secretary of State, Antony Blinken, and Lloyd Austin – Defense Secretary, are expected in Seoul this week and later in Japan and North Korea’s nuclear ambitions is expected to be on top of the agenda. Next month, the Biden administration will release their policy on North Korea.

The diplomatic relations between U.S. and North Korea worsened when North Korea tested long-range missiles capable of hitting American cities in 2017. These tensions reduced when former President Trump tried to create personal rapport with President Kim.
