New York City has been named the billionaire capital of the world after it emerged that there are 136 billionaires. This is a group of super wealthy people in the city.
NYC is standing a head of Hong Kong, Moscow and London which were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. The data was compiled by a data company named Altrata and Wealth X using data from 2022.
Los Angeles and San Francisco are two other cities in the USA which appeared in the top 10 list. There are 84 billionaires in San Francisco and 58 in Los Angeles. They are 3rd and 7th in the listings.
According to the report, there was a two percent fall in the number of billionaires in the United States of America but still nominated the world rankings.
Michael Bloomberg ($94.5 billion) is one of the USA billionaires in the city.
Bloomberg made most of money from his media company which he established in 1981. He is in the list with Julia Koch who is worth $56.9 billion following her inheritance of 42 percent stake in Koch Industries from her hubby David when he passed on in 2019 at age 79.
