Sharing is Caring

Here is why you need a fridge guard for your kitchen

A fridge compressor is easily damaged by a low power supply than even a power surge. It is not easy to tell when your power supply to the house is low because the lights can be on, you could be charging your phone with no indication of a power drop.

This therefore calls for you to have your fridge protected at all times. You can opt for a surge protector, line conditioner or a fridge guard.  A fridge guard has an advantage over the other devices because it switches the fridge off when power goes below set minimums and switches it on back again when the power supply stabilizes. It also switches the fridge off automatically in the event of a power up surge.

A fridge guard also has a wait time. It takes at least three minutes for the guard to allow power flow to the fridge. This is important to ensure that the power is stable to run the refrigerator. The fridge does not have to be going on and off severally during the power fluctuation. There is normally a huge power surge when power returns, the wait time helps protect the fridge from blowing out.

Some fridge guards come with a technology that allow you to adjust the sensitivity of your fridge guard to power fluctuations through a knob that you turn to select the sensitivity you desire.

It is very simple to use. It does not need an electrician to install the guard on your fridge. Some of them are as simple as plugging in to the socket outlet then plugging in the fridge power plug to the gadget.

It is a small appliance you can use in your kitchen but it does increase the longevity of your refrigerator.
