Kenyan Premier League club Wazito FC have sacked Head Coach Melis Medo after just 4 games at the club.

Melis Medo was appointed Wazito FC Head Coach on October 24th replacing Fred Ambani and his technical bench following a series of poor results.

The American tactician oversaw four games and only managed to win one, which came against struggling Sony Sugar FC who have been relegated because of not showing up for 3 of their fixtures this season.

It is reported that Medo was axed on Wednesday on grounds of not inspiring the team back to winning ways as demanded by the club.

Melis Medo previously coached Mt Kenya United and Sofapaka before his appointmeny by Wazito FC. Former Gor Mahia and Wazito Coach Frank Ouna is expected to take replace Medo.

Wazito FC owner Ricardo Badoer invested heavily in signings after the club was promoted to the Kenya Premier League last season but the investment hasn’t yielded fruits as expected.

Most Kenyan Premier League clubs are facing financial constraints due to lack of sponsorship but the Wazito flamboyant man has kept his staff and players happy from his pocket.

Wazito sit at position 13 in the Kenya Premier League table with 10 points after 10 matches.

Wazito FC will face Kariobangi Sharks in their next Kenya Premier League fixture on Monday 25th November at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos County.
