Striker Gabriel Martinelli has signed a new long-term contract with Arsenal.

The 19-year-old joined the Gunners from Brazil side Ituano last summer and has scored 10 goals in 26 appearances.

The Brazil under-23 international has signed a new deal two days after fellow teenager Bukayo Saka committed his future to the London-based club.

Martinelli will not feature again this season due to injury but Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta believes the forward has a bright future.

‘’I am very pleased that Gabi has signed a new contract with us,’’ Said Arteta.

‘’He is a very talented young player and he has impressed us with his performances, attitude and work rate.

‘’We are looking forward to getting him back to full fitness and to watching his development at our club.’’
